One lady pastor told Penny at the close of her session: “I’m not going to ask you to come back. I’m telling you to come back!” She was so excited about what she had heard that she couldn’t wait for our return.

One very prominent pastor stood up after we had ministered and made this declaration to his peers: “What we have heard today is the simple truth that the church has forgotten. I am ashamed to admit that I cannot remember the last time I preached about love. But now I know that if I am not preaching about Love, I am not preaching about God.”

Shelton forwarded us the following text message that he received from another very influential pastor who happens also to be the head of the nation’s media group, which includes the national newspaper, television and radio stations: “Shalom. Thank you for the labour of love you have towards the success of the conference and today’s service. The work that Pastors Thom and Penny Cooper have planted in our hearts is truly transformational. I rejoice in my heart because of the many pastors from across the city who came yesterday. Throughout the week this blessed couple has been sharing the foundational truths in many churches and their message is being received joyfully. They have testified that they have been surprised by the reception of the message in Zim. Let’s continue to cover them in prayer. Once again, thank you.”

Bishop Eliah Rice, pastor and full-time lecturer at a Bible School in Gweru, told us that what we shared totally changed the way he understood the identity of God and humanity and of the essence of the gospel. Now, he said, everything has changed for him.

Pastor Goodwill Sibanda told us that, “This message of love and acceptance is the message that will change Zimbabwe because what is being preached all over the nation is a message of condemnation.”
